PHILADELPHIA - The final Big 5 game of the season will take place on Saturday, Feb. 18, as the La Salle University men's basketball team hosts Saint Joseph's. Tipoff is set for 4:00 p.m., with all of the action scheduled to be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.A ceremony honoring the 1951-52 National Invitation Tournament championship team and the 1987 NIT runner-up squad will take place at halftime. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will also receive a free Lionel Simmons bobblehead doll.
NEWS & NOTES
•La Salle and Saint Joseph's squared off earlier this season, with the Hawks earning a thrilling 73-72 win at Hagan Arena on Jan. 28.
•Senior
Jordan Price had a team-high 21 points while Chris Clover also had 21 for SJU.
•In La Salle's last outing, St. Bonaventure shot 69.0 percent from the field in the first half to jump out to a 21-point halftime lead in a 83-65 loss.
•Price led the Explorers with 15 points, including a 4-for-8 performance from three-point range.
•The loss dropped La Salle into seventh place in the Atlantic 10 standings, one game out of a three-way tie for third place with George Mason, St. Bonaventure and Rhode Island.
•The game at St. Bonaventure marked the return of sophomore guard
Pookie Powell, who missed six games due to injury.
•Prior to the six-game absence, La Salle had won five of six games and was 5-2 in the A10.

SCOUTING SAINT JOSEPH'S
•Saint Joseph's has dropped five straight games since earning a one-point win over the Explorers on Jan. 28.
•The Hawks, who were without leading scorer Shavar Newkirk due to a season-ending injury, also lost second-leading scorer Lamarr Kimble for the year on Feb. 11.
•Kimble hit the go-ahead jumper for the Hawks late in the second half in the first matchup between the two teams.
•In its most recent game, SJU lost to VCU on the road, 91-81.
•James Demery had 17 points and 11 boards for the Hawks.
BIG 5 SEASON RECAP
•Villanova has already clinched the Big 5 title this season by virtue of a perfect 4-0 record.
•Temple's lone loss came to the Wildcats in a 78-57 game on Dec. 13, but the Explorers took the Owls to overtime in the season opener before falling 97-92.
•La Salle can clinch a tie for third in the standings with a win over Saint Joseph's.
