VILLANOVA - The La Salle Women's Swimming team completed its 2016-17 regular season competition on Saturday at the Villanova Sprint Fest.
"It was a fun, fast meet to get us prepared for the Atlantic 10 Championships," said Head Coach
Jamie Platt.
Sophomore
Olivia DiStefano was a standout for the Blue and Gold, finishing the 50 back in 27.39 seconds for first place. She later placed third in the 50 free.
DiStefano also aided the top 100 free relay team that also included
Kaitlyn Hay,
Tanawan Sukonthapanich,
Natalie Simunek. The foursome topped the competition.
Elsewhere, Maddy Koelsch placed third in the 50 breast, clocking in at 32.30 seconds. She later took fifth in the 100 breast.
Collin Kessinger took third in both the 100 IM and 100 breast. She also placed fourth in the 50 breast.
Platt and his team will now prepare themselves for the Atlantic 10 Championships which begin on Wednesday, February 15th in Geneva, Ohio.
