Women's Water Polo | March 1, 2017

PHILADELPHIA - The Women's Water Polo team (1-4, 0-1 MAAC) fell to Villanova (6-3, 2-0 MAAC), 10-6, in the team's home opener.

The Explorers kept a close game against a Villanova team that is considered one of the better ones in the conference. The Blue and Gold were even able to cut the Wildcats' lead to two as late as the fourth quarter.

La Salle's leading goal scorer was Racquel Jimenez with four goals.

Head Coach Paul Macht and his team have a long rest as they will next hit the pool on Saturday, March 18 against VMI in Villanova. That game is set to start at noon.
