Christina Bascara laced a two-run double to left to score the game-tying and game-winning runs to lift the Explorers to the comeback victory. La Salle entered the inning trailing 4-1 prior to the four-run rally.

Suzanne Swanicke was hit by a pitch to start the inning before Taylor Rohrbaugh and Emma Schweigert worked walks. Swanicke scored on a wild pitch and Reilly Gearhart singled through the left side to make it a one-run game and set the table for Bascara.

McKenzie Peace (W, 3-2) relieved Marlo Roadcap with two outs in the 5th and gave up just one hit over the final 2.1 innings to keep the Explorers within striking distance

Mount St. Mary's scored in the top of the 1st but Swanicke answered for La Salle in the home half with an RBI single. The Mountaineers took the lead in the 3rd on a solo homer and added two more runs in the 5th
