PHILADELPHIA – After a snowy hiatus, the Explorers will return to action by first traveling to Delaware State on Tuesday and then beginning conference play with VCU starting on Friday.

Scouting the Hornets
- Delaware State has two batters hitting over .300 this year as Evan Regez and Darnell Maisonet are both batting .375 through 40 at bats each this season
- As a team, the Hornets are batting .272 this season with a 3.20 ERA
- The Hornets have won two of their last three, including victories over Towson and Norfolk State
 
Scouting the Rams
- VCU has a 7-2 record at home this season, compared to just 3-8 on the road
- Staff ace Sean Thompson has a 3.21 ERA and a 3-1 record through five starts this season
- Freshman infielder Paul Witt is one of the better hitters in the conference with a .403 batting average through 20 games this season

Scouting the Explorers
- Outfielder Rafael Amanau was named Big 5 Player of the Week after the junior batted .583 through 12 at bats two weeks ago
- Sophomore Ben Faso has shown power this year, slugging .481 through 15 starts. He has a team-high five doubles and two home runs
- Luke Reilly has proven to be one of the A-10's best pitchers this season with a 1.90 ERA through 23.2 innings
