POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The La Salle Women's Water Polo team notched eight scores against MAAC opponent St. Francis Brooklyn in a 24-8 loss on Sunday to wrap up a MAAC weekend. The eight tallies were the team's second-highest this season, trailing the 12 it scored in a win over Penn State Behrend earlier this year.
Sophomore Paige Nearly led the team in scoring with four goals.
Stephanie Morales had three of her own.
Katelynn Kubo added one.
Kacio Cios assisted on a team-high four goals.
The Explorers will rest until next weekend when they play three more MAAC opponents in VMI, Siena, and Wagner. Their first game, against VMI, begins on Saturday at 9:00 AM.
