PHILADELPHIA – La Salle University will host its second annual Walk with the Women of La Salle Athletics on Sunday, April 9. The walk will begin at Founders' Hall and is scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m., with registration commencing at 11:30 a.m. 
 
The Walk with the Women of La Salle Athletics is an opportunity to promote women's athletics, to raise funds for women's sports and is a chance for friends to celebrate the rich history and tradition of women's athletics at La Salle.
 
Significant progress has been achieved in advancing women's athletic programs in recent years, and we are poised to make even greater strides in the years ahead. Success will certainly require a team effort and the involvement of alumni/alumnae and "Friends of Athletics" will be paramount in continuing to advance all women's programs.
 
The day will also feature a number of athletic programs in action on La Salle's campus. Both the softball and women's lacrosse teams will face Atlantic 10 foe George Washington, with softball beginning its single game at 12:00 p.m. and lacrosse set for a 3:00 p.m. start. Baseball squares off with Davidson at Hank DeVincent Field and will begin the set of contests, with first pitch scheduled for 11:00 a.m. All games and times are subject to change and are weather permitting. 
 
All donations are welcome, and any person donating $25 or more will receive a Walk with the Women of La Salle Athletics t-shirt! Your donation can be earmarked for a specific sport or can go to the general Women's Explorer Fund.
