PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University women's rowing team took part in the 51st Annual Kerr Cup on the Schuylkill River on Saturday morning.

The varsity eight boat, with Rebecca Schafer, Jessica Lindsay, Amanda Ryan, Tara Cates, Erika Gonzalez, Carly Dowd, Emily Finkbinder, Danielle Deley and Samantha Donahue, finished fifth in the first heat of the day's competition.

Led by Christi Gosse, Logan Howlett, Sophia Iaconelli, C.J. Lynch and Monika Halicki, the varsity four boat also finished fifth in its heat.

La Salle continues its season at the Bergen Cup on Saturday, April 22, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Annual Alumni Races and Pig Roast will be held in conjunction with the event, with festivities scheduled to begin around 12:00 p.m.
