SAINT LOUIS – The La Salle softball team beat Saint Louis twice on Sunday afternoon at the Billikens Sports Center to clinch an Atlantic 10 series win.
La Salle 4, Saint Louis 3
The Explorers scored three runs in the 5
th and another in the 6
th to even the series with a victory in game one. 
Suzanne Swanicke smacked a two-run homer in the 5th and added an RBI double that scored what proved to be the game-winning run in the 6
th.
Reilly Gearhart (W, 4-8) limited SLU to three runs over five-plus innings to earn the win before 
Marlo Roadcap got the final six outs to earn her second save of the season.
Jackie Heim had an RBI single as part of the three-run 5
th while 
Emma Schweigert finished 2-for-2 with a walk.
La Salle 7, Saint Louis 5
The Explorers came out hot in game two, scoring six runs between the first two innings and outlasting some late offense from the Billikens. 
Reilly Gearhart (W, 5-8) entered with no outs and the bases loaded in the 5
th and was able to get the final six outs for La Salle.
Suzanne Swanicke continued a big day at the plate with a two-run double in the 1
st inning before 
Mackenzie Obert singled in a run and 
Taylor Rohrbaugh doubled with the bases loaded in the 2
nd to put La Salle up 6-0.
Swanicke drilled a solo homer in the 4
th to finish the day with four hits and six RBI's. 
Jackie Heim also registered a pair of hits in the second game. 
La Salle continues with A-10 play this week as they host the Saint Joseph's on Wednesday at 3 PM.
