PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle volleyball team will welcome incoming freshman Alyssa Cianciulli to the 2017 class, head coach Caitlin Schweihofer announced Wednesday.

The Royersford, Pa. native is a 5'3 defensive specialist and libero who was a three-time Pioneer Conference champion playing for Pope John Paul II.

In her senior season, she recorded 348 digs on the year and was named PAC All-Conference First Team as well as Mercury All-Area First Team. She led her team to a district championship in 2014 and district runner up in 2015 and 2016.

Cianciulli plays her club volleyball for Club Integrity for head coach Ryan Sell. As libero, she helped the team qualify for nationals in their 2013 and 2014 campaigns. She plans to major in nursing at La Salle when she arrives this fall.
