STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The Women's Water Polo team went down twice on Sunday in MAAC games. In the first, La Salle lost to Marist, 20-3. In the second, the Explorers doubled their goal total but went down to St. Francis Brooklyn, 12-6.
La Salle scored six times against St. Francis Brooklyn. The offense was mostly spread as
Alyssa Pelanca and
Paige Neary scored twice while
Kacie Cios and
Stephanie Morales had one goal each. On defense,
Racquel Jimenez had three steals.Â
The Explorers only lit the lamp three times in the loss to the Red Foxes of Marist. Morales notched two scores while Cios had one. Neary recorded four kickouts drawn.
La Salle has just two more games left this season, both of which are Saturday, April 15. The Explorers take on Iona at 9:00 AM and then Siena at 2:30 PM.
