PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle Baseball team will host its last homestand of the season when Atlantic 10 opponent George Washington comes to town this weekend. The team will celebrate Senior Day on Sunday prior to the game. La Salle will then travel for a non-league game against Rider on Tuesday.
The Explorers will hope to continue their winning ways after taking two of three from St. Joseph's on the road last weekend. Second baseman
Kevin McGowan was named Big 5 Player of the Week last week after batting .438 with two separate three-hit games. Meanwhile, starting pitcher
Luke Reilly was named Big 5 Co-Player of the Week after throwing a complete game and striking out seven in a win over the Hawks.
McGowan is batting a team-high .328 in conference games this season. Meanwhile, leadoff hitter
Austin Constantini has reached base in 13 straight games.
