DAYTON, Ohio - The La Salle Baseball team was defeated by Dayton for the second day in a row on Friday afternoon, 14-7.
The Explorers managed to score seven runs on 12 hits in the contest. Graduate student
Michael Flax and freshman
Dylan Evans powered the offense with their first collegiate home runs, a solo shot in the sixth inning and a three run homer in the ninth inning respectively. Evans went 2-for-4 with two runs and three RBI's.
Outfielder
Rafael Amanau was 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and and RBI.
Second baseman
Kevin McGowan's bat remained hot. The sophomore finished 2-for-5 and now has had multiple hits in each of his last six games.
The Explorers will finish the season on Saturday when they face Dayton in the third game of the series. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
