PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - For the second consecutive season, senior
Amanda Ryan earned a spot on the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team as the La Salle University women's rowing team competed at the Atlantic 10 Championships on the Cooper River on Saturday.
Ryan, who also was awarded the De La Salle Service Award at the La Salle Student-Athlete Banquet in April, rowed from the seven seat of the varsity eight boat that crossed the finish line in a time of 7:52.38 to close in fifth place in its preliminary heat. The Explorers advanced to the petite final, where they placed third (7:52.54).

Monika Halicki - showed an impressive improvement from their preliminary race to the petite final.
After rounding out its heat in fifth with a time of 9:15.86, the group improved on that time by over 25 seconds, clocking in at 8:50.66 to edge George Mason for second place by just two-tenths of a second.
UMass won the team title and earned the right to represent the conference at the NCAA Rowing Championships on May 26-28 by earning 52 points to sneak by second-place Rhode Island (49).
La Salle concludes its 2016-17 campaign with the Dad Vail Regatta on May 12-13 on the Schuylkill River.
