PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle volleyball schedule for the 2017 campaign was announced by head coach Caitlin Schweihofer on Tuesday. The team is slated for 30 games in the upcoming season, split into 16 nonconference games and 14 Atlantic 10 matches. La Salle will appear in four tournaments next season and serve as the co-host for the Penn-La Salle Invitational.

The Explorers will jumpstart their season at the Bucknell Invitational during the last weekend in August. La Salle will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to face the Bison, along with Iona and St. Peter's for an action packed weekend to get the season underway.

The team will then return to Tom Gola Arena to host Lafayette on Tuesday, August 29^th for a nonconference meeting. The Explorers will look to continue their win streak over the Leopards after a 3-0 victory in the 2016 campaign.

The following weekend, the Explorers will travel again for a tournament in Akron, Ohio. The team will compete against Akron, Loyola (Md.) and Tennessee Tech over the course of the two day Invitational.  

The team will remain in Ohio for a meeting with Youngstown State on Monday, September 4 at 2:00 PM before heading home to the Tom Gola Arena.

La Salle is slated to co-host four teams at the Penn-La Salle Invitational over the weekend of September 8 through September 10. The Explorers will face Navy, Robert Morris, New Orleans and Penn as part of the three day tournament.

The team will continue with a weekend of nonconference play away at the Colgate Invitational, where they will face Stony Brook, Colgate and Cornell from Friday, September 15 through Saturday, September 16.

Conference play will begin with the Explorers hosting George Washington and George Mason the third weekend in September. La Salle will welcome the Colonials on Friday, September 22 at 7:00 PM before facing the Patriots at 4:00 PM on Sunday.

The Explorers will spend the next four conference games away during the course of the first two weekends in October. They will face Saint Louis (9/29) before traveling to Dayton (10/1) for a Sunday meeting at 1:00 PM. The team is slated to play at Davidson (10/6) and VCU (10/8) to continue the A-10 schedule.

The Blue and Gold will return home to host a pair of conference games from October 13-15. La Salle first faces Fordham at Tom Gola at 7:00 PM on Friday, before welcoming Rhode Island on Sunday at 1:00 PM.

After a quick road trip to Duquesne (10/20), the Explorers will host Maryland Eastern Shore for a final nonconference meeting.

La Salle will then travel to George Mason (10/27) and George Washington (10/28) before returning to close out conference play at home.

The team will face the VCU Rams on Friday, November 3 at 7:00 PM before meeting with Davidson for a second matchup of the season on Sunday, November 5.

After a week break, the team will play Duquesne once again on Friday, November 11 at 7:00 PM to close out regular conference competition.

The Atlantic 10 Tournament will be hosted by the Dukes in the 2017 season, with six teams qualifying to compete over weekend of November 17 through 19.
