PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team returns to action on this weekend as they visit Delaware on Friday prior to a neutral site match with No. 6 West Virginia at Princeton's Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium on Sunday.
Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle has won two in a row and five of their last six games. The Explorers played only one game last week, defeating crosstown rival Villanova 1-0 on the road on Sunday.
-Junior
Maci Bower was named GoExplorers Athlete of the Week on Wednesday after scoring the game-winning goal in the 76th minute against Villanova. All three of Bower's goals this season have been game-winners, tying her for 5
th in the NCAA in game-winning goals.
-The Explorers held the Wildcats scoreless to record their fifth shutout, which is tied with Saint Louis for the league lead. La Salle has a 0.55 goals-against average, which ranks 26
th in the NCAA.
-La Salle has allowed just one goal, to Drexel on August 31, during their last six games.

Scouting the Blue Hens
-Delaware suffered its first loss in five matches Monday, falling to Penn 1-0. The loss was Delaware's first since Aug. 24, when the Blue Hens dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 11 Georgetown.
-La Salle holds a 7-6 lead in the all-time series with the Blue Hens, and have won the last four matches. The two teams have gone to overtime five times in their 13 meetings.
-Six different Blue Hens have tallied a goal this season, and seven different players have tallied a point. Freshman Olivia Schuck has scored a team leading two goals this season, while Riley Dixon has a goal and two assists.
-Delaware will honor their eight seniors Friday night in a pregame ceremony. Michelle Burnett, Ari Fryer, Andrea Gunderson, Nicole Liotta, Kailyn Rekos, Abby Thomas, Gina Tricocci and Krista Trinidad will all be recognized.

-WVU enters the weekend showing a 1.71 goals-per-game average, and is outscoring opponents, 12-7. Junior forward Sh'Nia Gordon paces the team with 7 points (2 G, 3 A).
-Michaela Abam also has two goals, both game-winners, which is tied for 28
th nationally.
-Friday marks the team's first road match since opening the 2017 season with a 1-0 win at No. 5 Georgetown on Aug. 18.
