PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle field hockey team left Davidson with a win on Friday after three Explorers netted goals to top the Wildcats 3-0. The team improves to 2-1 in Atlantic 10 play and 5-2 overall.

Senior Kendall Kreider scored the lone goal of the first half about 25 minutes into play to give La Salle the lead. Kreider accepted a pass from classmate Katie O'Grady to contribute her first goal of the year.

Despite three shots from the Wildcats in the first half, the Explorers held them down to leave the home team scoreless entering the second half. 33 of the next 35 minutes of play were scoreless, until La Salle netted two back-to-back goals to secure the game with thirty seconds remaining.

Chloe Lucky sent a shot flying past the Wildcat's defense to score her first of the season with under two mintes to play remaining. Just under a minute later, Mackenzie Karcher accepted a pass from senior Eileen Dzwill, sending the ball into the goal to give La Salle a 3-0 victory.

Emma Provost made four saves in her 70 minutes in goal, as the Explorers blanked the Wildcats in their second conference victory this year.

La Salle will face William & Mary on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 12:00 PM as part of the nonconference schedule.
