PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle field hockey team was defeated by nationally ranked William & Mary on Sunday, Sept. 24. The Explorers fell in the nonconference meeting in a 0-8 final to end the weekend 1-1.

With the loss, the Explorers fall to 5-3 on the season, while maintaining a 2-1 record in league play.

La Salle was unable to slip by national powerhouse William & Mary, despite a pair of shots from
Jess Hoffman and one each from
Eileen Dzwill and
Kendall Kreider.

The Tribe limited La Salle to just four corner opportunities, leaving the Explorers offensive with limited chances to score.

Goalkeeper
Emma Provost made a terrific effort to hold the Tribe off, making 14 saves in her 43 minutes in goal.
Emelynn Sneary saw her first minutes in the net, making four saves in her 27 minutes in goal.

La Salle will continue their four game road trip when the team travels to UMass to face the Minutewomen on Friday, Sept. 29 for a conference matchup.
