La Salle Hosts George Mason Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's basketball team finishes up a three-game home stand on Wednesday when they host the George Mason Patriots at Tom Gola Arena at TruMark Financial Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

Scouting the Explorers

-Last time out, La Salle fell to Dayton in their A-10 opener at home Sunday.  
 
-Adreana Miller had a team-high 17 points against the Flyers, and has scored in double figures in seven of her 12 games this season.

-Shaquana Edwards also finished in double figures against the Wildcats, posting 12 points and a pair of steals. The redshirt freshman is averaging 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

-Sophomore Shalina Miller is averaging 8.3 points and 5.0 rebounds for the Explorers, and is second in the A-10 with a 57.3 field goal percentage.

-The Explorers topped George Mason in dramatic fashion last season (Jan. 28), with Amy Griffin hitting the game-winning jumper with 0.7 seconds left in regulation.
 
Scouting the Patriots
-George Mason opened Atlantic 10 play on Sunday with a 74-61 win at home over Davidson to finish the month of December with a 5-1 record. 

-George Mason freshman Nicole Cardaño-Hillary was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. Cardaño-Hillary earned the honor for the third time this season after averaging 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 steals and 3.0 assists in a pair of victories last week.

-Natalie Butler is leading the Atlantic 10 in scoring and rebounding this season, with 18.7 points and 14.9 rebounds per game this season. The graduate transfer from Connecticut is fourth in the league with a field goal percentage of 53.5.

-As a team, the Patriots lead the league in rebounds per game (45.7) and are third in steals per game (8.4).
