Men's Basketball Squares Off With Davidson in North Carolina on Wednesday

DAVIDSON, N.C. - The La Salle University men's basketball team has won two of its last three games and looks to continue its winning ways at Davidson on Wednesday evening. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The contest can be seen live via Facebook and will be produced by Stadium. Jason Knapp, Chris Spatola and Kristin Balboni will be on the call. La Salle will have a live audio stream of the game that features Kale Beers and Scooter Vertino through Stretch Internet and the TuneIn Radio app.

NEWS & NOTES 
•The Explorers are coming off a week-long break after defeating UMass on Jan. 24 by a score of 87-72.
•Five La Salle players scored in double figures for the second time in three games, including a game-high 26 points from senior B.J. Johnson.
•Johnson currently leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 21.3 points per game and is also ranked fourth in rebounding (8.3 rpg) and eighth in steals (1.6 spg).
•Redshirt junior Pookie Powell, who stands fourth in the conference in scoring at 18.6 ppg, did not play against the Minutemen due to a hamstring injury.
•La Salle shot a season-best 55.0 percent from the floor including a blistering 59.4% through the first 20 minutes that helped the Explorers build a 20-point lead before half.
•Sophomore Saul Phiri registered a double-double for the fourth time this season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
•The Explorers shared the ball extremely well against UMass, dishing out 18 assists which was one shy of a season high.
•Sophomore Isiah Deas has scored in double figures in each of La Salle's last seven games and is averaging 15.9 points per game over that stretch.
•Through the first eight games of Atlantic 10 season, La Salle is leading all teams in scoring at 78.5 points per game. 

SCOUTING DAVIDSON
•The Wildcats enter with a 5-3 league record and 10-9 overall after dropping a 66-63 decision to Richmond on Sunday.
•Davidson has lost its last two league games by a combined four points.
•Sophomore Jon Axel Gudmundsson had a team-high 21 points in the loss to the Spiders, while leading scorer Peyton Aldridge had 18.
•Aldridge is second to B.J. Johnson in scoring average among Atlantic 10 individuals at 20.2 points per contest.
•Freshman Kellan Grady leads all first-year players in the Atlantic 10 at 15.3 points per game, and is one of five players on the team to shoot 38 percent or better from three-point range.
