Jamir Moultrie set a new career high with 19 for the Explorers, who fall to 9-13 overall and 3-6 in league action.
The Wildcats (11-9, 6-3 A-10) scored the first 13 points of the game and never looked back, building a lead as large as 25. Hot shooting was the main factor in the first half, as the Wildcats went nine of their first 12 from three-point range and finished the period shooting 52.0 percent overall.
A dunk from Johnson to start the second half drew La Salle to within 15, but Davidson was able to push the lead back to 20 thanks to a 7-0 run. Grady had the final four points of the spurt and had 18 of his points after intermission.
From there, the Explorers never got to within striking distance despite the best scoring efforts from Moultrie. The 6-1 guard connected on five three-pointers, four in the second half, and tallied 16 of his career-high total in the second stanza.
La Salle returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 3 with a matchup against Big 5 rival Saint Joseph's. Tipoff at Gola Arena is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
