Men’s Soccer Holds Davidson to 1-1 Draw

PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Soji Olatoye put the Explorers ahead early on, while senior goalkeeper Cameron Keys saved six shots, as the La Salle University men's soccer team drew its second Atlantic 10 Conference tie of the season, 1-1, against Davidson on Saturday. The Explorers snapped the Wildcats' three-match win streak with the draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Olatoye buried his fifth goal of the season, capitalizing on a Davidson penalty to push La Salle out to a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute.
  • Keys saved all three shots sent his way in the opening half, keeping the Wildcats off the board with the Explorers up by a goal after 45 minutes.
  • La Salle was just 13:20 away from its first shutout of the season when Jamie Diluzio found the back of the net for Davidson to tie it up, 1-1.
  • After the Explorers and Wildcats finished 90 minutes knotted at one, neither team was able to punch it home in extra time, capping off the draw.

  • Davidson entered the contest with a perfect 3-0 record, having won three consecutive A-10 matches.
  • It was the third goal for Olatoye in the team's five conference games this season.
