PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University men's and women's rowing teams began its 2018 fall campaign on the Schuylkill River Saturday. The Explorers took part in the Navy Day Regatta, with seven boats across the two teams hitting the water. The frosh/novice 4+ boat narrowly missed out on a podium appearance, finishing fourth in a time of 14:22.89.

• Notes: Defeated boats from Saint Joseph's, Villanova and Lehigh.

• Notes: Bested Sacred Heart's top boat by over 13 seconds.

• 24^th of 27 – 13:38.34
• Notes: Outlasted teams from Army, Lehigh and Maryland.
   
• Women's Open/Collegiate 8+
• 20^th of 26 – 15:01.81
• Notes: Bettered two teams from Army, as well as crews from Maryland, George Mason, Sacred Heart and Lehigh
   
• Men's Collegiate Frosh/Novice 4+
• 4^th of 11 – 14:22.89
• Notes: Top finisher of the day for the Explorers; Fell to three teams from Navy but did defeat groups from Marist, Leigh, Lafayette and Army.
