Men’s Soccer Hits the Road for Three; At Dayton Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA – After earning a hard-fought draw against a red-hot Davidson team on Saturday, the La Salle University men's soccer team will hit the road for its next three matches, visiting Dayton for an Atlantic 10 Conference meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • La Salle snapped Davidson's three-match win streak with a 1-1 draw at McCarthy Stadium on Saturday.
  • Davidson had entered the contest with a perfect 3-0-0 conference record.
  • Sophomore Soji Olatoye buried his fifth goal of the season in the 13th minute to give the Explorers an early lead.
  • Davidson tied the match in the 77th minute, but senior goalkeeper Cameron Keys made six saves overall, as La Salle finished off the draw in extra time.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
  • Dayton has cooled off after a strong start and stands at 4-5-4 overall with a 2-2-2 home record.
  • The Flyers have struggled in A-10 play thus far, going 0-3-1 with the tie coming against Saint Louis. Dayton fell to Rhode Island, 3-1, on Saturday.
  • Federico Barrios has played every minute in goal for Dayton. He leads the A-10 in goals against average (0.93), is second in shutouts (5) and third in save percentage (.780).
  • Jonas Fjeldberg leads the Flyers with seven points on three goals and one assist, while Laurel Aug has contributed two goals and two assists.
SOJI THE STRIKER
  • Olatoye is tied for 10th in the Atlantic 10 with five goals on the season.
  • He exceeded his goal and point total from last year just nine games into this season.
  • Three of his goals have come in the Explorers' five A-10 matches.
