PHILADELPHIA – After earning its first draw of the season at Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, the La Salle University men's soccer team will look to get back in the win column on Saturday when the Explorers travel to Saint Louis for an 8 p.m. (ET) Atlantic 10 Conference match. The game will be available on ESPN+ ($).
LAST TIME OUT
- La Salle picked up a 2-2 draw at Saint Joseph's to improve to 0-1-1 in the Atlantic 10.
- The Explorers trailed, 1-0, at halftime before sophomore Soji Olatoye took over for La Salle.
- Olatoye evened the score shortly after the break, with assists credited to freshman Ike Hollinger and graduate student Mike Liska.
- The sophomore striker then gave La Salle a brief lead, as Liska and freshman Tarin Morris earned assists, in the 63rd minute before the Hawks quickly answered to make it two all.
- Senior goalkeeper Cameron Keys made four saves in net, as La Salle and Saint Joseph's finished off two overtime periods in a 2-2 tie.
SOJI THE SCORER
- Wednesday's match was the first two-goal performance of Olatoye's career, with both goals coming in the second half.
- The Ontario native leads the team and is tied for sixth in the A-10 with four goals this season, while he also has an assist for nine points on the year.
- Interestingly enough, all nine of Olatoye's points have come on the road, and he has three goals over La Salle's last two road matches.
SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS
- Saint Louis will enter the weekend with a 3-2-4 mark for the season and is tied with La Salle with an 0-1-1 A-10 record.
- The Billikens are 0-1-2 over their last three contests, falling at Rhode Island on Wednesday, 3-1.
- Leo Novaes has 11 points on four goals and three assists, while Anthony Brown has four goals and two assists to his credit.
- Saint Louis has played three different goalies this season for a team goals against average of 1.21 and a .613 save percentage. Ty Frederking (1.15 GAA, .647 Sv%) leads the team with a 3-1-1 mark and one shutout.
