PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle University volleyball team (11-7, 4-1 A-10) won its fourth straight Atlantic 10 conference match in a 3-1 victory over Saint Louis (25-11, 28-26, 27-25, 25-21) on Friday night. The Explorers improved to 11-7 overall and to 4-1 in league play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• La Salle dominated the first set, leading by a margin of 23-7 to gain an early advantage over the Billikens.
• Freshman Elizabeth Osborn put down the final kill of game one, securing a 25-11 win for the Explorers.
• Game two saw the teams locked 21-21, inciting a thrilling point-for-point battle resulting in La Salle achieving a 28-26 victory to pull ahead 2-0 in the match.
• The Explorers went back and forth with the Billikens for 16 points as they looked for another win in the third set, but suffered a hard-fought 27-25 loss.
• The Explorers entered game four eager to leave the court with their fourth consecutive victory as they pulled ahead of SLU, 18-13.
• Junior Devin Corah registered six kills to see La Salle defeat SLU, 3-1.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Corah paced the Explorers offensively with 17 kills.
• Sophomore Samantha Graver helped hold down the defense, registering 22 digs for a season high.
• Senior Jensen Sharrits led the match in digs with 25 and remains at the top of the Atlantic 10 conference in digs (375) an digs/set (5.77).
• Junior Kathryn Wood logged 49 assists and continues to head the A-10 in assists/set (11.28).
