Men's Swimming and Diving | November 10, 2018

NEWARK, Del. - The La Salle University swimming & diving programs took a short trip to the University of Delaware on Saturday for a tri-meet against the Blue Hens and Rider. The Explorers won a total of nine events individually, with the men's team earning a 181-105 dual win over UD.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Junior Marcus Forsgren was a double winner individually, earning victories in both the 100 breast and the 100 free.
• In the 100 free, teammate Norman Gregory finished second to help the Explorers in the team competition.
• Freshman Zachary Wolbert also took home two golds, closing in first place in both the 200 fly and 200 IM.
• Senior Kyle McElwee took the 200 free title, and also anchored the 400 free relay that finished in first.
• McElwee was joined on the relay by Forsgren, Daniel Johnson and Ian Venter.
• The final winner on the men's side was Christoff Ras, who bested the field in the 200 breast.
• In women's action, junior Carrie Horan was the lone victor as she touched the wall ahead of all competitors in the 100 breast.
