NEWS & NOTES
•The Explorers are looking for their first victory of the season after suffering a tough one-point loss in their home opener against Lafayette on Saturday.
•A three-pointer from junior
Isiah Deas with just over two minutes remaining gave the home team a 75-71 lead, but the Leopards scored six of the final seven points to earn the come-from-behind win.
•With 10.0 seconds remaining, a three-point play from Lafayette guard Alex Petrie gave the visitors a one-point lead.
•Graduate student
Pookie Powell, who scored a game-high 26 points, had one final chance to give La Salle the win but his step-back jumper with time running down was off the mark.
•With his point total, Powell is just eight points away from scoring 1,000 for his collegiate career (including his year at Memphis).
•Deas closed with 16 points and sophomore
Miles Brookins matched a career high with 13 points in the loss.
•Brookins was also one off a career high with six rebounds and connected on the first three-pointer of his career in the second half.
•Through two games, La Salle is averaging 9.0 turnovers and is forcing opponents to commit 16.0 miscues per game.

Jared Kimbrough came off the bench to grab a team-high seven rebounds, marking the second straight game in which he has led the team in rebounding.
ABOUT FLORIDA
•The Gators are 1-1 on the year after picking up a convincing 76-46 win over Charleston Southern.
•Florida held the Buccaneers to just 25.5 percent shooting and had a 24-4 edge in points off turnovers.
•Ten different players found the scoring column for the victors, led by KeVaughn Allen's 14 points.
•Deaundrae Ballard came off the bench to score 12 points and currently paces the squad in scoring at 12.5 ppg.
