PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University women's swimming team returns to action on Friday, Nov. 2 with a home meet against Rhode Island at Kirk Pool, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- La Salle traveled to Ohio to compete in the Atlantic 10 Classic last weekend, with freshman Phoebe Shaya putting together an impressive performance in the diving competition.
- Shaya earned the victory in the 1-meter dive and finished second in the 3-meter.
- Another freshman, Sara Rizzetto, took home gold in the 400 IM while junior Olivia DiStefano won the 100 backstroke.
- The competition against the Rams marks the second home dual meet of the season for the Explorers, who fell to Drexel in the season opener on Oct. 20.
SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND
- The Rams enter Friday with a 3-0 dual record, having defeated both Coast Guard and Springfield in a tri-meet on Oct. 27.
- Junior Katy Evans will provide Shaya competition in the diving events, as she took first in the 1-meter and second in the 3-meter dive at the tri-meet.
- Overall, 16 individuals won events for Rhode Island last weekend.
