EMMAUS, Pa. - The La Salle University men's and women's swimming and diving teams close out the 2018 calendar year with a dual meet against Lehigh on Wednesday. The meet will take place at Emmaus High School, the alma mater of head coach
Jamie Platt, and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- La Salle last competed at the three-day long Bucknell Invitational in mid-November, with a number of individuals having solid showings.
- Junior Marcus Forsgren earned a victory in the 100 freestyle, besting Towson's Matthew Essing by two hundredths of a second.
- Classmate Blake Griffith also won an event individually, taking first in the 3-meter dive with a score of 316.30.
- Griffith was joined on the podium by freshman Steven Stasolla, who bested Griffith in the 1-meter dive to take home gold.
- On the women's side, junior Carrie Horan was a fourth-place finisher in the 200 breaststroke, as was diver Phoebe Shaya in the 3-meter dive.
SCOUTING LEHIGH
- Lehigh is 4-1 in dual meets on the men's side, while the women currently stand at 5-1.
- Most recently, the Mountain Hawks earned a pair of wins over Lafayette on Nov. 16.
- In addition to the college schedule, men's swimmers Walker Wilson and Glenn Lasco competed at U.S. Winter National Championships in Greensboro, N.C. last week.
