Women's Swimming and Diving | February 14, 2018
GENEVA, Ohio - The La Salle women's swimming and diving team started the Atlantic 10 Championships with a big splash, setting a new school record in the 200 medley relay in the first event of the entire meet.
Olivia DiStefano,
Maddy Koelsch,
Emily Wolbert, and
Natalie Simunek touched the wall in 1:42.95 to set the new record. The old record of 1:43.08 was set back in 2013.Â
"We had a great first night," said head coach
Jamie Platt. "The energy, excitement and performances were excellent. What a way to start!"
In the only other women's event of the day, the 800 free relay team finished in 7:37.84. That team was comprised of
Hannah Elliott, Koelsch,
Danielle Thomas, and
Emily Wolbert.
