GENEVA, Ohio - A pair of seniors,
Fabian Bergman and
Dylan Yurasits, each set new records on the third day of the Atlantic 10 Championships at Geneva, Ohio, Friday. Each has already set records in the last two days.
Yurasits took gold in the three meter dive, scoring 364.70. That mark beats Karo Isajan's score of 358.45 set in 2004. With that score, Yurasits continues his stellar performance. Just a few days ago, he set the Atlantic 10 record in the one meter dive.
Classmate
Fabian Bergman has been having a fantastic performance as well, setting records every day this meet. He started with the 200 free and 800 medley relay on Wednesday and then 200 IM on Thursday. Friday, he set a new mark in the 100 back, finishing in 47.24 seconds. This beats the record he set last year of 47.41 seconds. Bergman, who set the mark during the medley relay, also finished second in the individual 100 back.
Jakub Bartosiewicz placed sixth in the 100 fly, finishing in 48.87 seconds.Â
Junior
Kyle McElwee took 10th in the 200 free with a final time of 1:39.37.
Sophomore
Marcus Forsgren with sixth in the 100 breast (55.16 seconds).
Freshman
Gustov Swedenborg took fourth in the 400 IM, clocking in at 3:56.48. He was just a fraction of a second out of second place. He also finished second among freshmen.Â
Through 27 events, the men's team is in third place with 326 points. The finals conclude on Saturday.
