GENEVA, Ohio - The women's swimming and diving team finished up the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday in Geneva, Ohio. The women finished ninth place with 190 points and multiple new school records. On the final day, one last record was broken as
Emily Wolbert set a new mark for La Salle.
Wolbert, a sophomore, set a new La Salle record in the 200 fly, finishing in 2:03.28. Her time narrowly edged the previous record of 2:03.41.
"Each season we spent September through February prepping for the A-10 meet," said head coach
Jamie Platt, "The championship keeps getting more and more competitive and it brings out the best in our teams. We have a lot of performances to be proud of this year and an exciting future too!"
Otherwise on the championships' final day,
Olivia DiStefano took sixth in the 100 free, finishing the race in 50.64 seconds.
Collin Kessinger was 11th in the 200 breast, clocking in at 2:18.77.
In the dive,
Sydney Szopo took fourth in the three meter. Szopo had recorded a 290.90.
