ERIE, Pa. - The La Salle women's water polo team went down twice to conclude the Laker Invitational on Sunday.
Mercyhurst 14, La Salle 10
The Explorers made a close effort against the tournament host on Sunday morning, but ultimately couldn't climb over the hump.
Karle Linden and
Jillian Delisle led the offense with three goals apiece.
Giselle Monsalve drew the start in goal and made nine saves.
Stephanie Morales had two goals while Alyssa Palenca and
Victoria Ashby each found the back of the net once.

Morales and Delisle had the lead in goals scored for the Explorers with three to go along with two drawn ejections. Linden also found the back of the net twice while
Kacie Cios and Kubo scored once each.Â
Head coach
Paul Macht and the team have some time to strategize. The next time they will see game action is March 10 and 11 in a three-game weekend against Wagner, VMI, and Marist.
