VILLANOVA, Pa. - The La Salle women's swimming and diving team wrapped up their final meet of the regular season at the Villanova Sprint Fest on Saturday.
"The Villanova Sprintfest allows us to focus on the little things that matter so much at this time of the year," said head coach
Jamie Platt. "The shorter events and quick format has prepared us for great things in just under two weeks at the Atlantic 10 Championships!"
Olivia DiStefano recorded the top time in the 50 backstroke, finishing in 27.32 seconds. Right behind her,
Natalie Simunek placed second with a 28.18 second finish. DiStefano didn't stop there, placing first in the 100 backstroke later in the day. In that event, her final time was 57.62 seconds.
Collin Kessinger recorded a second place finish in the 100 breast, touching the wall in 1:07.87.
In the 50 breast,
Maddy Koelsch took third place (31.26 seconds).
The next time the Explorers will be in action will be Wednesday, February 14 when they travel to Geneva, Ohio, for the A-10 Championships.
