NEWS & NOTES
•The Explorers fought back from a 13-point, first-half deficit to defeat rival Saint Joseph's on Saturday afternoon at Gola Arena.
•Senior
B.J. Johnson scored a game-high 25 points and added seven rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals.
•Early in the second half, Johnson scored the 1,000th point of his collegiate career and also passed his father, Bobby, on La Salle's career scoring list.
•Redshirt junior
Pookie Powell put together an incredible all-around game, scoring 15 points and dishing out a career-high 11 assists in 40 minutes.
•Powell also did not turn the ball over against the Hawks, and is the first player in 2017-18 and just the sixth in NCAA Division I since 2010-11 to have totals of at least 15 points and 10 assists without a turnover in a full 40 minutes played.
•As a team, La Salle committed just two turnovers against St. Joe's which is the third-fewest turnovers in an NCAA Division I game this season (Davidson & Florida International - 1).
•Graduate student
Amar Stukes contributed 20 points on an efficient 8-of-12 shooting, and freshman
Jamir Moultrie had his second straight hot-shooting game with 18 points.
•Moultrie connected on six three-pointers, a single-game high for an individual Explorer this season, and is shooting 51.4 percent (18-for-35) from three-point range in A-10 play.
•Stukes (63.2%) and Moultrie (51.4%) rank first and fourth, respectively, in three-point field goal percentage against Atlantic 10 opponents.
SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
•The Colonials have dropped two straight, including their most recent 87-58 decision to Davidson on Saturday.Â
•George Washington enters Wednesday's contest with a 9-14 record and a 2-8 mark Atlantic 10 competition.
•Senior Yuta Watanabe is the top scorer and rebounder on the team, averaging 14.8 points  and 6.1 rebounds per game.Â
•Watanabe also paces the team with 38 blocked shots and ranks third in the Atlantic 10 in the category.
•Sophomore Jair Bolden is the top facilitator on the team with 69 assists.
