La Salle Drops Two in MAAC Opener

ALBANY, NY - The women's water polo was defeated twice in its first two MAAC games of the season on Saturday. The women first lost to #17 Wagner, 21-2, and then to VMI, 14-2.

Jillian Delisle and Ann Cho each scored in the loss to Wagner. Stephanie Morales and Katelynn Kubo picked up assists. Morales led the team in shots with five. Jenny Fermaintt had seven saves while Giselle Monsalve had three.

Delisle scored both in the loss to VMI. Kubo led the defense with three steals. Morales, Linden, and Martinez had two steals each.

The Explorers take on #23 Marist on Sunday at 3:00 PM.
