PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University men's basketball team has won three of its last four outings, and looks to finish the regular season on a high note on Saturday against Big 5 rival Saint Joseph's. NEWS & NOTES
•The Explorers are one of four teams tied for ninth place in the Atlantic 10 standings, along with Duquesne, George Washington and Dayton.Â
•Saint Joseph's is one of three schools locked in a battle for the fourth and final double bye at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Tournament, which is set to begin on March 7.
•La Salle enters the game with a 2-1 record in Big 5 games, and would secure solo second place in the standings behind nationally-ranked Villanova with a win on Saturday.
•Senior
B.J. Johnson scored 27 points, his third straight 20-plus point game, as La Salle earned a 71-53 victory over Dayton on Wednesday.
•The Explorers have won three of their last four outings, with the lone loss coming in overtime to nationally-ranked Rhode Island.
•Johnson was one of four La Salle seniors honored prior to the matchup with the Flyers, and each of them had significant contributions to the team.

Johnnie Shuler played a season-high 29 minutes and dished out a career-best 11 assists, while
Tony Washington had 14 points in just 17 minutes.

Amar Stukes, the fourth member of the team playing in his final game at Tom Gola Arena, added seven assists and a season-high four steals.
•La Salle shot 54.9 percent and compiled a season-best 21 assists against Dayton.
•The Explorers are 5-0 this season when they have shot 50 percent or better from the field.
•Freshmen
Jamir Moultrie and
Miles Brookins also had a say in the final outcome against Dayton, contributing a combined 19 points off the bench.
•Stukes started the 100th game of his collegiate career on Wednesday and 124th overall, moving into a tie for sixth place on La Salle's career games played list (Jack Hurd - 1988-92).
•Johnson now has 1,038 points for his two-year career with the Explorers, which ranks 50th on the school's career scoring list.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS
•St. Joe's has won five of its last six A-10 games, including a 78-48 drubbing of No. 17 Rhode Island on the road on Tuesday.
•The Hawks received 21 points from James Demery and 17 from freshman Taylor Funk, who ranks 13th in the A-10 in three-point field goal percentage (.393).
•Demery is 2nd on SJU in scoring at 17.1 ppg behind classmate Shavar Newkirk (17.6 ppg).
•Saint Joseph's ranks third in the A-10 in field goal percentage defense (.425), turnover margin (+2.1) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.4).
