PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle University men's track team participated in the Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field on Friday and Saturday. The Explorers also took part in the Lehigh Games on Saturday.
At the Penn Relays, La Salle took part in the 4x400-meter relay on Friday and ran in the 4x800 relay race on Saturday.
Cris Hunter,
Isaiah Akil,
Ache Hall and
Justin Guerre teamed up for the 4x400, finishing 37th out of 64 teams with a time of 3:20.15. In the 4x800 Championship of American International,
Nathan Gillis (1:53.23),
Nick Smart (1:57.07),
Anthony Hawthorne (1:50.92) and
Chris Sanders (1:51.55) finished in 7:32.76 for 12th place.
Meanwhile at Lehigh,
Najee Smith placed seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.65.
Michael Hagan (1:00.67) and
Jordan Patterson finished fifth and sixth int he 400-meter hurdles, respectively. In the 800-meter run,
Dom Mussoline was 18th out of 48 finishers with a time of 1:59.00 and
Gregory Dix was 29th at 2:01.86, while
Joe Boyle was 19th in the 1,500 meters at 4:10.92.
The Explorers will partake in the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships next weekend.
