PHILADELPHIA – After picking up its first Atlantic 10 Conference win over Saint Joseph's on Saturday, the La Salle University baseball team will hit the road on Wednesday to take on Rider as part of the Liberty Bell Classic. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday and was postponed due to rain.

EXPLORERS POWER PAST HAWKS IN SERIES FINALE
Three different players hit home runs as La Salle rolled past Saint Joseph's in Saturday's game three series finale, 10-2. After dropping the first two games of the series, the Explorers captured their first A-10 win over the Hawks in front of their home crowd. Junior

KENNEDY GETS FIRST CAREER WIN
Freshman
Colin Kennedy earned his first collegiate win in Saturday's drubbing of the Hawks. He set a season high by going six innings, allowing only two runs on eight hits while striking out five and walking just one. The right-hander ranks eighth in the A-10 with 9.96 strikeouts per nine innings and has a team-high 31 strikeouts through seven appearances.
FASO EXTENDS HITTING STREAK
Faso drove in a career-high six runs in the win on Saturday, extending his hit streak to 12 consecutive games by going 2-for-4 with two runs. The first baseman hit a three-run homer to put La Salle ahead in the first inning and later cleared the bases with a three-run double in the seventh. Faso, who collected his second Philadelphia Baseball Review Hitter of the Week honor, is second in the A-10 in batting average (.365) and hits (38). He is also sixth in slugging percentage (.490), seventh in RBI (22) and eighth in doubles (7).
SCOUTING THE BRONCS
Rider enters Wednesday's contest at 6-16 overall and 1-1 in the MAAC while owning a 1-2 home record. The Broncs split a doubleheader with Iona on Saturday, taking game one, 9-3, before being shut out in game two, 12-0. After starting the year 4-3, Rider has lost 13 of its last 15 games. Jake Bender leads the team with a .313 batting average, .410 slugging percentage and 15 runs scored. Joe Simone and Riley Mihalik each are hitting .282 with Simone leading the squad with a .417 on-base percentage.
