Caitlin Schweihofer announced her team's 2018 schedule on Monday.
The Explorers will host the 2018 La Salle Invitational on Sept. 7-8, and additionally will play seven Atlantic 10 contests at their home facility beginning with a matchup against Saint Louis on Friday, Oct. 5.
La Salle, who is expected to return 13 letterwinners from last year's squad that compiled the most single-season conference wins since 1998, begins the year with the University of Delaware Tournament in Newark, Del.
The Explorers will tangle with the host Blue Hens for the first time since Schweihofer took over the program in 2014, and will also face Villanova and Morgan State.
Following the season-opening event, La Salle travels to Michigan for the Chippewa Invitational. A homecoming of sorts for Midland, Mich. native
Madison Kuch, the Explorers will square off against Central Michigan, DePaul and Valparaiso over two days bridging August with September.
The La Salle Invitational takes place at Tom Gola Arena at TruMark Financial Center on Sept. 7-8, with the Explorers hosting Kent State, Rider and NJIT. The match against NJIT on Friday, Sept. 7 will mark the team's home opener, with first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Maryland-Eastern Shore, UMBC and host Towson join La Salle in the Towson Invitational on Sept. 14-15, closing out the main pre-conference slate for the Explorers.
Four straight road matches open Atlantic 10 play for La Salle, with a trip to Virginia to take on defending Atlantic 10 champion VCU beginning the two-week stretch.
The Atlantic 10 home opener against the Billikens is followed by a contest against A-10 Tournament runner-up Dayton a day later on Saturday, Oct. 6. George Washington, George Mason, Fordham, Rhode Island and Duquesne comprise the remainder of the home league slate for the Explorers.
The Atlantic 10 Championships will be held Nov. 16-18 in Richmond, Va.
