PHILADELPHIA - Coming off a home win over Howard in the season opener, the La Salle men's soccer team will hit the road for the first time in 2018 on Saturday, when the Explorers visit Iona for a 3 p.m. tilt in New Rochelle, N.Y. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ (subscription required).
LAST TIME OUT
- The Explorers used a strong second half to earn a 2-1 victory over Howard in the season opener on Tuesday.
- Junior Daniel Begovic and sophomore Jesper Lenander scored the two goals for La Salle, while senior Hayden Criollo had an assist.
- The Bison had an opportunity in the final seconds, but senior goalkeeper Cameron Keys made the game-sealing save.
- La Salle's defense limited Howard to just three shots for the game, and the Explorers held a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal.

- Iona enters the weekend with a 1-0-1 record with a 1-1 draw at LIU Brooklyn and a 1-0 win at Binghamton.
- The Gaels needed overtime to pick up their first win on Tuesday over Binghamton.
- Josh Plimpton scored on a cross by Malcolm Moreno in the 95th minute to give Iona the victory.
- Mauro Bravo scored the Gaels' lone goal in the draw against LIU Brooklyn.
- In net, Juan Alcantara has made seven saves with a .875 save percentage while surrendering just one goal.
- Last season, Iona went 5-7-4, with Alcantara posting five shutouts.
