MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The La Salle University men's soccer team fell on the road at Robert Morris, 1-0, Saturday afternoon. Freshman goalkeeper Brett Werner made four saves in his collegiate debut, but the Explorer offense couldn't find the back of the net.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Werner made two saves in the opening half, and La Salle worked four shots over the first 45 minutes, but the Explorers and Colonials sat at a scoreless tie at halftime.
• Robert Morris took a 1-0 lead in the 57th minute when Guilherme Fanck snuck one past Werner.
• Freshman Fridtjof Andberg had a great opportunity in the 88th minute, nearly heading in a throw in by senior Jake Saba, but Colonials goalkeeper Winter Fondi denied the chance.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Junior Pat McCarthy registered three shots, including two on goal in the first half.
• Robert Morris held a 10-6 shot advantage and a 5-3 shot on goal advantage.
• Sophomore Soji Olatoye and graduate student Mike Liska each recorded a shot for the game as well.
