PHILADELPHIA - The Atlantic 10 Conference unveiled its 2018-19 men's basketball schedule and league-wide television selections on Wednesday. First-year head coach
Ashley Howard and the La Salle men's basketball team will be featured on national television broadcasts a total of seven times, including a Dec. 1 showdown with Big 5 rival and defending national champion Villanova on ESPN2.
La Salle's highly anticipated matchup with the Wildcats, with whom Howard served as an assistant from 2013-18, will be played at the Palestra and will tipoff at 3:00 p.m. The Villanova game is included in the 2018-19 La Salle season ticket package that is available now by visiting

La Salle's 18-game Atlantic 10 slate will begin on Saturday, Jan. 5 with an afternoon contest at Massachusetts that will air on NBC Sports Network. After a midweek affair at VCU, the Explorers will host their first home Atlantic 10 game on Saturday, Jan. 12 against Saint Louis. The game will also be shown on NBC Sports Network, starting at 6:00 p.m.
The contest against the Billikens will begin a string of three straight home contests at Tom Gola Arena, featuring George Washington (Jan. 16) and defending A-10 regular-season champion Rhode Island. The game against the Rams on Jan. 19 is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Network.
Road games at Fordham (Jan. 23) and Richmond (Feb. 2) are interspliced with home games against Massachusetts (Jan. 30) and Big 5 rival Saint Joseph's (Feb. 5). The home tilt against the Hawks will count as the Big 5 matchup between the two schools.
La Salle hits the road for a Sunday matinee with George Mason on Feb. 10, with the contest airing on Stadium. Stadium will carry 10 Atlantic 10 games through its nationwide network of affiliates. All Stadium television games will be carried digitally on ESPN+.
Duquesne invades Tom Gola Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 13, before back-to-back road games at Saint Louis (Feb. 16) and St. Bonaventure (Feb. 20). The rematch with the Billikens is scheduled to be shown on CBS Sports Network.
Consecutive home games against Richmond (Feb. 23) and Davidson (Feb. 27) lead into the March schedule, which begins with another city matchup with St. Joe's on Saturday, Mar. 2. The game will be shown on NBC Sports Network. The final road trip of the season to Dayton on March 6 preludes the last regular-season game against Fordham on Saturday, March 9.Â
The 2019 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship will be held at Barclays Center from March 13-17, with 11 of those games airing on national television. Wednesday's two first round games will be carried by ESPN+.
NBCSN will air the second round and the quarterfinal contests on March 14-15, and CBS Sports Network will broadcast the semifinal games on March 16. CBS Sports will host the March 17 final on network television for the 10th straight year as part of Selection Sunday coverage. The championship returns to the iconic Brooklyn, N.Y. arena for the first time since 2016.
