ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The La Salle women's soccer team (7-6-1, 3-3 A-10) fell to conference leading Saint Louis (11-0-1, 6- A-10), on Sunday afternoon, 4-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Explorers and Billikens battled to a scoreless half in the opening 45 minutes of the game.
- Saint Louis' Alyssa Seitzer scored back-to-back goals, one in the 54th minute and one in the 65th minute, to put the home team in command.
- Abbie Miller pushed the Billikens' lead to three during the 73rd minute before Sydney Walker converted in the 80th minute to put the game out of reach.
- La Salle got on the scoreboard with an own goal during the 88th minute of play.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Junior keeper Claudia Jenkins recorded 10 saves as the Billikens fired 16 shots on net.
