PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle University men's soccer team will recognize its four seniors when it hosts Atlantic 10 opponent Massachusetts on Senior Day Saturday at 7 p.m. from McCarthy Stadium.
 
SENIOR DAY

• Seniors Pat McCarthy, Brandon Gutekunst, Daniel Begovic and Billy McCarthy will be honored prior to kick-off. 

BIG WIN ON THE ROAD

• La Salle picked up a critical A-10 road win at George Mason on Wednesday, blanking the Patriots, 2-0.
• Freshman goalkeeper Carlos Mora registered his second shutout of the year while making five saves in goal.
• Sophomore Sam DeCencio scored in the 38th minute and then fellow sophomore Omari Cotterell put the game away with a tally in the 86th minute.
• Captain Pat McCarthy, freshman Franc Gamiz Quer and sophomore Tarin Morris each recorded assists in the victory.

ATLANTIC 10 OUTLOOK

• The Explorers are in a four-way tie for sixth place in the A-10 standings with nine points along with Duquesne and George Mason, which La Salle holds tiebreakers over, as well as George Washington.
• La Salle will be in tremendous shape to earn an A-10 Tournament spot if the Explorers win their final two league games against UMass and St. Bonaventure.

SCOUTING UMASS

• The Minutemen enter the match 5-10 overall and 1-5 in the A-10.
• UMass has lost eight games by a one-goal differential, including the last time out against Rhode Island, 1-0.
• Graham Brenner leads the team with five goals, while James McPherson has three goals.
• Marvyn Dorchin has played every second in goal and owns a 0.92 goals against average with a .770 save percentage and four shutouts.
