PHILADELPHIA - Senior

Amanda Chapin and
Chloe Lucky registered an assist on the deciding tally,
Emma Provost earned the win in goal and the fifth senior,
Taylor Hafer, provided a spark up top all afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Explorers wasted no time opening the scoring as junior Rialee Allen scored at the 2:08 mark of the first quarter off a feed from freshman Emma Holzman. The assist was the first of Holzman's career.
- Moments later, La Salle doubled its lead as Allen again found the scoring touch after Lechleitner sent a ball into the scoring area.
- The action-packed first quarter continued as Lehigh's Drew Pecora notched her 12th goal of the season to pull the visitors to within one.
- The score remained 2-1 heading into halftime, as the second quarter featured just one shot between the two teams and two penalty corners.
- Seniors connected early in the third stanza to regain a two-goal advantage for the Explorers, as Lucky inserted a penalty corner and found Chapin outside the striking circle.
- Chapin sent a beautiful ball towards cage that was redirected by Lechleitner to put La Salle on top, 3-1.
- Lehigh bounced back and edged closer in the 40th minute, when Amanda Boyer scored to bring the Mountain Hawks within one at 3-2.
- La Salle played solidly after the goal, outshooting the Mountain Hawks by a 5-1 margin in a scoreless fourth quarter.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Chapin's assist was her 10th of the season, marking just the fourth time in La Salle single-season history that an Explorer has accumulated double-digit assists.
- Over her four-year career, she has 19 assists which moves her into a tie for fifth on La Salle's career list with Neelam Kumar (2009-12).
- Provost made four saves to pick up her third win of the season in goal for the Explorers, who outshot Lehigh, 13-8, for the game.
