Men's Swimming and Diving | November 25, 2019

PHILADELPHIA – Swimming & diving takes on Villanova at Kirk Pool on Tuesday. The meet concludes a three-week home stretch for the Explorers. The men's team is coming off a win over NJIT, while the women most recently defeated Stony Brook.
 
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS

• The women's team won by a score of 170-129 as sophomore Sara Rizzetto recorded top finishes in the 200 Free, 200 Back and 200 IM.
• Classmate Phoebe Shaya also impressed with wins in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives. Freshmen Nina Kolodgie and Brynn Peterson also took first in the 1000 Free and 100 Free respectively.
• The men's side won by an even larger margin over NJIT, 183-116. Three Explorers tallied multiple top finishes against the Highlanders: sophomore Zachary Wolbert and freshmen Trenton Burr and Sam Henninger.
• Senior Norm Gregory, junior Daniel Johnson and freshman Cole Dyson also tallied top finishes for La Salle.

 
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS

• Villanova's teams have gotten off to mixed results this season: the women's side has started 2-0 while the men have gone 0-2.
• Previous to this meet, the women took third at the WVU Invitational and the men fifth.
