GENEVA, Ohio – Women's swimming & diving concluded the A-10 Classic, getting a sense of the competition that will come further down the line. Notably, sophomores
Sara Rizzetto and
Phoebe Shaya showed well against conference competition as each recorded a first-place finish.
MEET NOTES
- Rizzetto's winning time came in the 200 Back, clocking in at 2:05.02. She added a third-place finish in the 400 IM and touched fourth in the 200 IM.
- The German international was also part of a team that won bronze in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:39.51. She was joined by freshmen Brynn Peterson and Lauren Fenn, along with sophomore Sarah Wyant.
- Shaya's top dive came in the 3-meter where she tallied 262.80 points. She also collected a second-place finish in the 1-meter.
- The final podium finish for the women's team came via senior Emily Wolbert. Her time of 2:08.46 was good for third in the 200 Fly.
- Freshman watch: members of that third-place relay team also had good individual swims. Peterson finished fifth in the 200 Free and sixth in the 100 Free, while Fenn touched in fifth in the 100 Back. Fellow rookie Erica Kenski finished sixth in the 1-meter dive.
