SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • The Blue & Gold started the season with a convincing win at Howard, 78-62. In the game, all 10 Explorers who played registered a point. Freshman Claire Jacobs paced the team with 20 points in her first collegiate game. Joining Jacobs in double figures were junior Deja King and sophomore Kayla Spruill, who each scored 12 apiece.
  • Junior Shalina Miller led the Explorers in rebound with 11 boards. The Philadelphia, Pa. native neared a double-double with nine points. En route to breaking the all-time blocks record, Miller deflected two shots against the Bison and is now just 36 away from tying Amy Griffin '18 at 151.
  • Six different Explorers made their first appearance in blue and gold in the season opener against Howard, including freshmen Claire Jacobs and Jordon Lewis who made their first career starts. Joining Jacobs and Lewis were freshman Kayla Braxton-Young, junior Kate Hill, freshman Amy Jacobs, and graduate student Carley Lytton.
  • The Explorers post a 33-14 record in home openers. However, have not won one since the 2014-15 season when the team topped Howard.
SCOUTING ROBERT MORRIS:
  • The Colonials started the 2019-20 campaign with a loss at TCU, 66-61. Nina Augustin led the team with 11 points.
  • Eight different players recorded a point in the opening loss.
  • Irekpitan Ozzy-Momodu corralled 12 rebounds and is leading the team in that category.
  • Robert Morris handed out 17 assists, with Augustin leading the way with six.
SERIES HISTORY:
  • La Salle is looking for revenge on Saturday against Robert Morris after the Colonials defeated the Explorers last season, 67-39.
  • La Salle leads the all-time series 4-2 in a history that dates back to 1982.
  • The Explorers took the first four contests, dropping the two most recent.
